Misty the cat, about three seconds after she was c Misty the cat, about three seconds after she was chasing the TV screen saver. Cats tend to get a bad wrap, but in our household we find them pretty darn cute and provide us with plenty of entertainment.
What started as an entrance to part of our kitchen What started as an entrance to part of our kitchen, is now the doorway to our en-suite.

We wanted to add character and interest, so came up with the idea of a custom archway to match another one already in the homestead.

As it turns out, archways are hard! The window section was custom built by our builders, and trying to source someone to do the curved architrave was quite the mission. The doors are original to the house and were found in a shed covered in decades of dust.

Five years on from the renovation, I’m still in love with this view. In my humble opinion, classic design never goes out of style.
Our babies are growing up! This is my first time Our babies are growing up!

This is my first time with poddy lambs, and they have certainly solidified themselves as part of the animal clan here at Willeroo. Who knew lambs were this cute and cuddly? Holding them is like cuddling a giant teddy bear.
Birthday weekend at Willeroo. Bonfire, friends, Birthday weekend at Willeroo.

Bonfire, friends, homemade pizzas, gardening, lamb hugs and hilltop sunsets.

Feeling very grateful.
Celebrating finally finishing off the Pool House! Celebrating finally finishing off the Pool House!

It has been almost finished for years now, but we hadn’t finished hooking up the lighting and plumbing because:
a) time
b) money
c) landscaping took over for the past two years
d) getting tradies in the country can be a challenge
e) trenching was required which meant digging up our driveway
f) life

So, to be able to turn on a light without a dodgy power cord running from the house and being able to flush the toilet is definitely a win. 💃🏼

That last 10% of the renovation is always the hardest. Can anyone else relate?
A gorgeous winter sunset over Willeroo this evenin A gorgeous winter sunset over Willeroo this evening.

If you’re wondering what all the random things in the foreground are, they are tree guards around all of our new trees. The deer, roos, wallabies, hare and rabbits are brutal! Hopefully this spring we will be able to remove them.

Dancing ducks on the dam. These are our four Kha Dancing ducks on the dam.

These are our four Khaki Campbell ducks we hatched and raised from eggs we ordered off Gumtree! They have recently discovered our dam, located out of the garden paddock. It’s hard to want to keep them out of it when you see how much they adore being on the water. They just need to make sure they make it back home every night so we can lock them up safely! 🦊
